The primary purpose of the position is to plan work schedules according to priorities set forth by management. The responsibility of this position is to see that equipment and supplies are maintained in adequate amounts to prevent delays. It is the purpose of this position to write specifications and provide drawings as necessary on all major projects. Pre-planning of future projects range from a few days to six months or more. Due to the nature of the maintenance work here, plans are frequently changed to meet emergency needs, or because of short notice priority changes. This position requires inspections of all buildings and grounds on a six-month basis, looking for needed maintenance items. Written inspections are written for file and recommendations on needed repairs and/or modifications. Work schedules are made from these inspections and work orders. Carpentry frame/trim work, paint and sheetrock, plastering, masonry, concrete, ceramic & terrazzo tile.
This position is designated Mandatory and must report or stay
over during adverse weather events.

Qualified applicants must document on the application that they possess all of the following:
- Knowledge of the principles and concepts of the plaster, carpenter, concrete & masonry trade and puts these trade practices to use on a daily basis at this facility.
- Be skilled in the use of all hand tools and machines necessary to complete these assignments.
- Ability to read drawings, sketches, and blueprints and to make accurate mathematical calculations to perform these assignments.
- Ability and knowledge to follow oral and written instructions and the physical strength to perform heavy tasks for considerable periods of time.
Physical Requirements:
This position requires the ability to bend, stoop, climb, grasp, pull, push, and lift up to 100 lbs.
This position requires the knowledge to read, write, climb ladders, set up staging.
Also be able to carry 50 lbs. up a ladder while climbing onto roofs.

High school or General Educational Development (GED) diploma; And one (1) year of progressive experience in the assigned trade areas.
