Electrical Technician Job Description The Electrical Technician is responsible for performing electrical installations on all company products, possessing the ability to troubleshoot, service, diagnose failures, and make necessary repairs. Responsibilities Perform electrical installations on company products. Troubleshoot, service, diagnose, and repair electrical systems. Read and understand electrical schematics. Use test equipment to solve problems in various systems. Possess an advanced understanding of electrical voltage reading AC/DC, focusing on low and medium AC voltages. Prepare documentation, administer physical inspections, and complete sign-off books with QC coordination. Conduct final system checks. Adapt to new situations and systems on the production line. Effectively test, troubleshoot, repair, and install electrical systems, products, assemblies, and components. Demonstrate effective soldering skills. Assist lower-level technicians with on-the-job training. Mentor and act as a role model for co-workers while working alongside them on the production floor. Provide feedback on areas that need improvement or correction to the team. Ensure lower-level technicians have a clear understanding of processes and can perform tasks properly. Assist with process improvements and work instructions. Display the proven ability to give clear and concise instruction. Demonstrate the ability to improve products and make associated recommendations. Utilize advanced product knowledge to inspect, identify, and make repairs or replace parts as required. Test equipment and perform regular maintenance checks on electronics.
