CAD Designer/Detailer - Trade Show Booths
_Join JET The Agency as a Trade Show CAD Detailer & Designer!_
Be the backbone of our unbeatable exhibit fabrication crew at JET The Agency, a turn-key exhibit house and event production/planning company, building and producing for some of the largest industry trade shows and events across the country.
You'll both design from the ground up and/or turn approved existing designs into precision shop drawings, CNC cut files, and floor plans that come to life on the show floor. Work side-by-side with our project management and fabrication teams to build industry-leading booths for design-focused client partners from startups to Fortune 500s.

The successful applicant will manage CAD Design & Detailing of trade show booths, events, floorplans, show services layouts, and setup drawings based on approved design renderings.
_We'll speak with candidates providing a portfolio of recent trade-show or millwork drawings._
What You'll Do
Design: Produce 2D & 3D trade show booth and event activation designs. Your creativity and experience are crucial!
Detail & Draft: Produce 2D & 3D shop drawings (AutoCAD) for custom millwork, exhibits, and CNC routing.
Scope & Spec: Specify materials, framing systems, graphics, hardware, lighting/electrical and best-practice build methods generating detailed bill of materials.
Floor, Electrical, & Rigging Plans: Create accurate scaled layouts and show-service diagrams.
Installation Guides: Build clear, step-by-step CAD assembly & setup drawings.
Team Collaboration: Provide workflow updates and contribute to our in-house design reviews by participating and contributing to internal design/layout process.
What You'll Bring
5+ years Exhibit CAD/Detailing experience (AutoCAD & recent Adobe 3D/3ds)
Deep knowledge of architectural millwork, graphics, metals, woods, laminates, and best-practice fabrication methods
Strong mechanical aptitude, math skills, and self-directed research ability to propose alternate methods of construction while meeting design intent and budget/time restrictions
Excellent verbal & written communication; able to thrive in a fast-paced shop
Portfolio of recent trade-show or millwork drawings
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive, Docs, Calendar)
Demonstrated knowledge of drafting, engineering, building techniques, mathematics, and mechanical aptitude
Strong attention to detail and consistent accuracy
Ability to work without supervision in a fast-paced environment - we're all professionals, there's no need for someone to micromanage
