Handyman / Maintenance Contractor Wanted Long-Term Work Potential.

We are a busy property management company looking to partner with a skilled, reliable, and responsive independent contractor to handle ongoing maintenance needs across our multifamily and commercial properties in the East Bay (primarily Alameda county).

The Ideal Partner Can Confidently Perform Basic Repairs in:

  • Plumbing, electrical, and appliance troubleshooting

  • Carpentry, drywall, concrete, tile, roofing, waterproofing

  • Bathtub epoxy, caulking, painting

  • Floor repair (hardwood, laminate, vinyl, carpet)

  • Window and blind repair, lockset/keypad installation

  • Basic HVAC troubleshooting (wall heaters, etc.)

  • Sign hanging, light fixture replacements

  • Drain snaking, faucet replacements, and more

Requirements:

  • Must operate legally under CSLB exemption (no job over $1,000 total labor & materials unless licensed)

  • Licensed contractor is a plus (allows to perform bigger projects)
  • Carry current business liability insurance

  • Fluent in English, able to communicate clearly with tenants and property managers

  • Tech-savvy must be able to use email, calendar, text, photo sharing, and send PDF invoices

  • Transparent, competitive pricing must be willing to provide estimates

  • VERY responsive fast turnaround is critical, especially for emergencies

  • Professional demeanor and tidy workmanship

  • Welding skills a plus!

About the Work:

  • You will receive maintenance requests directly via email or phone, and share an online calendar so that it's clear when the work is scheduled

  • You set your schedule but must respond quickly

  • Work volume can be steady and grow over time

  • Not W-2 this is a 1099 independent contractor position

  • You are free to continue working with your other clients
