Overview
CFA owns and operates several apartment communities in Texas City. We are seeking a skilled Plumber to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in plumbing systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair. Boiler system experience is a plus. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. The Plumber will be responsible for ensuring that all plumbing systems are functioning efficiently and safely. Health insurance options available with this position.

Responsibilities

Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in apartment buildings.
Assemble and install pipes, fittings, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
Perform remodeling tasks related to plumbing installations.
Conduct routine inspections of plumbing systems to identify potential issues.
Troubleshoot problems with plumbing systems and implement effective solutions.
Ensure compliance with local plumbing codes and regulations.
Collaborate with HVAC technicians when necessary for integrated system installations.
Perform heavy lifting as required during installation or repair tasks.

Requirements

Must be a licensed plumber or have 3+ years of verifiable residential plumbing experience.
Must be able to legally work in the USA.
Proven experience as a Plumber or in a similar role within the construction or maintenance industry.
Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment.
Good communication skills are necessary. Must be able to read, write, and speak English. Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to plumbing tasks.
Knowledge of HVAC systems is a plus but not required. Education and certification available.
Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks associated with plumbing work.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and clients.
Boiler system experience a plus, but not required.
Assist with maintenance duties at all properties when needed.
Common plumbers tools required.
