Overall Purpose of Position: We are seeking a highly experienced Staff Analog Design Engineer to develop advanced Battery Protection ICs. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in power management for high-volume consumer and industrial applications.
Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- Design of partial or complete battery protection ICs.
- Architect and implement analog/mixed-signal blocks and macros.
- Supervise and guide layout engineers to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with test, applications, and product engineering teams to bring designs to mass production.
- Partner with marketing and management to assess technical feasibility for new products.
- Support customers by preparing technical documentation.
Qualifications:
- Strong track record designing successful high-volume power management/protection ICs.
- Deep understanding of analog design techniques on 0.18um CMOS process and below.
- Skilled at transistor level design of all types of sub-blocks such as comparators, references, voltage/current monitors, charge pumps, LDOs, protection logic.
- Experience and knowledge of DC-DC regulators and common architectures.
- Experience and knowledge of low power and low noise analog designs is a plus.
- Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, layout and devices.
- Proficient in Cadence tools for schematic capture, simulation and layout.
- At least 6 years working in analog IC Design for power management ICs.
- Masters or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
