Overall Purpose of Position: We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Analog Design Engineer to lead the development of advanced Battery Protection ICs. This role offers the opportunity to drive innovation in power management for high-volume consumer and industrial applications.

Primary Job Responsibilities/Duties:

• Lead the design of partial or complete battery protection ICs from concept to production.
• Architect and implement analog/mixed-signal blocks and macros.
• Supervise and guide layout engineers to ensure optimal performance and manufacturability.
• Collaborate with test, applications, and product engineering teams to bring designs to mass production.
• Partner with marketing and management to define new product concepts and assess technical feasibility.
• Support customers by preparing technical documentation and engaging in design discussions.

Qualifications:

• Strong track record designing successful high-volume power management/protection ICs.
• Deep understanding of analog design techniques on 0.18um CMOS process and below.
• Skilled at transistor level design of all types of sub-blocks such as comparators, references, voltage/current monitors, charge pumps, LDOs, protection logic.
• Experience and knowledge of DC-DC regulators and common architectures.
• Experience and knowledge of low power and low noise analog designs is a plus.
• Understanding of semiconductor manufacturing, layout and devices.
• Proficient in Cadence tools for schematic capture, simulation and layout.
• At least 12 years working in analog IC Design for power management ICs.
• Masters or equivalent in Electrical Engineering.
