Job Title: Commercial Door Installer
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Commercial Door Installers at all levels for a reputable construction company. This long-term opportunity is ideal for career-minded individuals eager to advance and remain with a growing company. You will work on projects ranging from lab spaces to multi-family and mixed-use high and mid-rise constructions, primarily in downtown San Diego and Carlsbad.
Responsibilities
Install and fabricate door frames, including hollow metal and knock-down aluminum.
Handle the installation of architectural flush and stile & rail doors.
Install mechanical and electrified hardware as per project requirements.
Interpret hardware schedules and project drawings accurately.
Manage materials and ensure compliance with door, frame, and hardware standards and tolerances.
Lift and transport materials weighing 50 lbs or more as needed.
Essential Skills
4-8 years of experience as a Door Installer.
Proficiency in installation and fabrication of door frames.
Experience with mechanical and electrified hardware.
Understanding of BHMA and ANSI Finish Designations.
Familiarity with ADA and Fire Code Compliance.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in material management.
Keying systems knowledge is preferred.
OSHA 10 or 30 hour certification is beneficial.
Fall Protection and CPR certifications are preferred.
Certifications from major hardware manufacturers or AAADM Certification are a plus.

Work Environment
You will work on commercial-level construction projects in the field, with ongoing and upcoming projects in Carlsbad and San Diego. These projects, including assisted living facilities and lab spaces, are set to last around one year, with a focus on high-quality materials and construction standards.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Oceanside, California.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
