Location: 7000 Siemens Road, Wendell, NC 27591 Position Title: Electrical Design Engineer LV MCC Hours: Monday Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, 40 Hours/Week Summary of Duties: Analyze customers technical specifications regarding the application of Siemens Motor Control Center (MCC) products along with associated protection and control systems. Design appropriate product solutions to meet the customers expectations in a cost-effectively and timely manner. Create all documents for customer approval and manufacturing of MCCs, including general specifications, layout drawings, unit schedules, and bill of materials. Be a technical project leader taking full ownership of the overall project deliverables. Work with application engineering, project management, sales, and customers to resolve technical issues. Work directly with the factory manufacturing team addressing any challenges as they produce your designs. Help improve our products by working collaboratively to identify design enhancements. Help improve our processes and tools by providing feedback to team leads and business excellence teams. Support the following Siemens products: low voltage, motor control centers, and low voltage control panels. 10% domestic travel required. Hybrid work permitted. Qualifications: The position requires a Bachelors degree in Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field and four (4) years of experience in the job offered, or as an Application Engineer, Project Engineer, Proposal Specialist for medium and low voltage control, or a related occupation. The position requires experience with the following skills: Creating, converting, and modifying drawings with Promis.e, AutoCAD Electrical, ELCAD, or an engineering-base software; Reading, understanding, and evaluating electrical schematics to identify errors or potential improvements; Working with an ERP system, such as SAP; Standards, such as UL, IEEE, NEMA, IEC, NEC, or ANSI; Utilizing Siemens products; AutoCAD; Bentley Substation; MicroStation; Creo; Power Control Builder (PCBr). 10% domestic travel required.
