limited to Lead and manage geotechnical engineering projects from proposal stage through completion ensuring quality budget and schedule compliancePlan oversee and interpret geotechnical field and laboratory testing programs including soil borings test pits percolation tests and ground improvement evaluationsPrepare and review geotechnical engineering reports foundation recommendations and construction guidelinesProvide technical guidance training and oversight to engineers and field techniciansCoordinate with clients contractors and regulatory agencies to ensure project requirements and expectations are metSupport business development activities including preparing proposals attending client meetings and maintaining relationships with existing and prospective clientsConduct site visits and construction observations for foundations earthwork and pavement related projects to ensure compliance with engineering recommendationsMaintain familiarity with local state and federal regulations relevant to geotechnical engineering and construction practicesPromote a strong safety culture in field and office operationsMinimum requirements Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or Geotechnical EngineeringMinimum of 8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering practice with a focus on geotechnical design and analysis subsurface investigations construction materials testing and inspections project management and construction supervision Business development experience is preferredLicensed Professional Engineer PE in the State of FloridaEstablished client base with proven ability to bring in new geotechnical projects foster relationships and expand the client portfolioFamiliarity with local engineering practices permitting processes and industry standards in the State of FloridaTechnical requirements Licensed Professional Engineer PE in the State of FloridaStrong interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated ability to lead geotechnical projects manage staff engineers and technicians and work effectively in a team environmentExtensive geotechnical expertise including strong foundational knowledge of geotechnical engineering principles soil and rock mechanics pavement engineering and groundwater hydrologyProficiency in preparing detailed geotechnical proposals technical reports and engineering recommendationsExperience providing construction oversight for foundations earthwork pavement evaluation and related infrastructure projectsProficiency with geotechnical engineering software and tools for analysis and designOther miscellaneous qualities Ability to travel within Florida as requiredMust have a valid drivers license and a good driving recordAbility to pass a background check for clearance to work on various private and
