IZOT Product Development Manager

As a Product Development Manager at BMC, you will take ownership of the IZOT AMI DevX team, driving innovation across the entire product lifecycle-from concept to release, and ongoing maintenance. You will lead the design, development, quality assurance, automation, and support of DevX products, while also facilitating cutting-edge prototyping initiatives involving emerging technologies.

In this role, you'll have a direct and visible impact on the growth of the business unit (BU) and our ability to deliver value to customers. You will work cross-functionally with multiple Product Managers and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality, scalable solutions that meet evolving customer needs.

• Lead a high-performing, technically skilled engineering team with a focus on innovation, engagement, and excellence.
• Drive timely, high-quality product releases while overseeing all technical and operational aspects of product development.
• Work with Agile Partner in a Scrum and Kanban environment, ensuring continuous delivery and process improvement.
• Partner closely with Product Management to define and prioritize requirements.
• Manage all aspects of people leadership including hiring, performance reviews, coaching, and career development.
• Contribute to long-term product architecture and strategic engineering initiatives.

To ensure you're set up for success, you will bring the following skillset & experience:

• Extensive experience with IBM mainframe platforms is essential. The ideal candidate will have hands-on mainframe development experience earlier in their career, providing a strong foundation for understanding technical challenges and leading engineering teams effectively.
• Demonstrated success managing software development teams, with a strong focus on collaboration, execution, and delivering high-quality products.
• Ability to rapidly learn and evaluate new technologies to lead and support prototyping initiatives.
• Deep understanding of Agile software development methodologies, including practical experience with process improvement and team leadership.
• Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to prioritize in a dynamic, fast-paced, and global work environment.

Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training, licensure, and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.

The range listed is just one component of BMC's employee compensation package. Other rewards may include a variable plan and country specific benefits.

At BMC, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at /near the top of the range. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $129,375 - $215,625
