Hydropress Operator - Weekend Shift - El Cajon

Hydropress Machine Operator - 1st Shift - El Cajon - $23/hr-$30/hr Job Description We are looking for a skilled Hydropress Machine Operator to manage various hydropress machines, including those with CNC controls. The role requires autonomous machine setup, reading standard operating procedures (SOPs), and conducting in-process inspections using calipers and micrometers to ensure metal thickness accuracy. Responsibilities Operate different hydropress machines, including CNC controls. Set up machines autonomously. Read and interpret standard operating procedures and dimensions. Conduct in-process inspections of metal thickness using calipers and micrometers. Shadow and train on the first shift for a month before transitioning to the weekend shift. Essential Skills Experience in sheet metal fabrication. Proficiency in CNC press brake operation. Ability to perform sheet metal bending, rolling, and planishing. Skill in roll form and bump form techniques. Blueprint reading capabilities. Familiarity with calipers, micrometers, and CNC brake press. Additional Skills & Qualifications Ability to perform setups and operate sheet metal equipment with some assistance. Skill in selecting correct tooling for job tasks with setup documents or assistance. Responsibility for checking operations from material gauge and type through final forming. Proficient in reading and interpreting blueprints and travelers. Work Environment The job involves repetitive tasks, making pieces in batches of 20-30, with approximately 2-3 different setups daily. The weekend shift is from 5 am to 5:30 pm, consisting of three 12-hour shifts with payment for 40 hours. Training will occur on the first shift from 6 am to 4:30 pm, Monday to Thursday, for about one month before moving to the weekend shift.
