Overview

We are seeking a Pump and Plumbing Mechanic for assignment in Syracuse, New York. The selected candidate will perform O&M activities for our client's groundwater treatment plant.

Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm

** This position has a pay rate of $26 - $28/hr **

Responsibilities

- Diagnose equipment and system operation problems and perform necessary corrective action (pump repair, cleaning, lancing conveyance, piping replacement, etc.)

- Perform regular site inspections and verify systems are operating appropriately

- Communicate system deficiencies with team and field leaders

- Collect and document field data

- Heavy equipment operation

- Exterior building and grounds maintenance

- Perform other duties as required

Qualifications

- High School Diploma or GED

- A valid Drivers License

- Ability to work independently on pumps, plumbing and motors including cleaning, troubleshooting and repair

- Experience with underground line cleaning is a plus

- Previous HAZWOPER and/or Confined Space Entry training is a plus
