Roadway Construction, LLC is an established General Contractor located in Miami, FL and we are looking for an experienced Curb Machine Operator. This position will be responsible for operating a curb machine to place concrete curbs, sidewalks, and related structures according to project specifications. This role requires strong equipment handling skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a team environment on active construction sites.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operate a curb machine to form and finish curbs, gutters, and other concrete structures.
* Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and layout lines to ensure accuracy.
* Adjust machine settings and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues to maintain quality output.
* Work closely with the grading, concrete, and finishing crews to coordinate workflow.
* Inspect work to confirm compliance with specifications and quality standards.
* Perform basic maintenance and cleaning of the curb machine.
* Follow all company safety policies and OSHA regulations on the job site.
Qualifications:
* Minimum of 2 years experience operating curb machines (e.g., Power Curber, Gomaco, or equivalent).
* Strong knowledge of concrete placement and finishing techniques.
* Ability to read grade stakes, blueprints, and layout instructions.
* Mechanical aptitude to perform minor repairs and adjustments.
* Must be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills.
