Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Electrical Foreman to lead and manage electrical construction projects. The role requires expertise in reading and interpreting blueprints, executing electrical layouts, and managing conduit bending tasks. You will oversee the installation of switchgear, mounting of boxes and panels, and manage the roughing of MC and BX cables. Knowledge of Lutron lighting packages and fire alarm systems is essential.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret blueprints to execute electrical layouts.

  • Perform conduit bending and installation using EMT, Galvanized, and Ridged materials.

  • Manage the installation of switchgear, mounting boxes, and panels.

  • Oversee wire pulling and roughing of MC and BX cables.

  • Install Lutron lighting packages, risers, and lighting systems.

  • Implement fire alarm systems and ensure compliance with NEC code.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues effectively.

Essential Skills

  • Proficiency in electrical conduit work and wiring.

  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues.

  • Expertise in conduit bending and installation.

  • Knowledge of electrical wiring schematics and switchgear.

  • Familiarity with NEC code and standards.

  • 4-10 years of experience in electrical construction.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • SST 10 certification.

  • OSHA 30 certification.

  • Experience with terminations from 120-480 volts.

  • Ability to install outlets and wire electrical devices.

Work Environment

Work is based in Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn, with hours from 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, including a half-hour lunch break. The position requires a safety-oriented mindset, with PPE required at all times. Mobile clock-in codes are used for time tracking.

This is a Contract position based out of New York, New York.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
