To add to our team we are currently hiring a Purchasing Coordinator to join our Roofing operations. Job Purpose The Purchasing Coordinator is engaged in purchasing materials, equipment, and supplies to maintain inventory levels and fill project orders. The Purchasing Coordinator is responsible for maintaining relationships and being the primary point of contact for assigned vendors. Duties and Responsibilities Prepare and issue purchase orders in accounting software based on material need and project readiness. Confirm and update status on purchase orders, following order from placement to receipt. Communicate with vendors when material is available and to be delivered. Update and maintain master pricing from vendors. Process material transfers from inventory to project when required. Track and monitor inventory levels and project shipments. Provide administrative assistance to other office and field personnel as needed. Build and manage relationships with assigned vendors. Correspond with assigned vendors regarding questions, inquiries, delays and requests. Work with vendors and/or accounting to resolve any order discrepancies, i.e. pricing, products, etc. Skills and Abilities Problem solving - strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner. Communication - strong verbal and written communications skills. Planning / organizing - ability to work independently, demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness, prioritizes, and plans work assignments, organized, and uses time efficiently to meet deadlines. Adaptability - adapts to changes in work environment, manages competing demands, and able to deal with change, delays, or unexpected events. Dependability - the individual is consistently at work and on time, follows instructions, responds to management direction, and solicits feedback to improve performance. Basic data entry and general math skills. Ability to navigate computer programs, specifically Smartsheet, and Google Office suite. Must be proficient in Excel. Ability to learn new software quickly Education and Experience Associate or Bachelor's degree required in Business, Accounting or related discipline. Work experience will be considered in lieu of a degree in one of these areas. 2+ years of purchasing experience, preferably in the construction industry.
