We are currently seeking a Highway Engineer III for our Baltimore office.Position Overview:The primary focus of this position is to serve as a Highway Engineer III for the design of new construction, reconstruction or rehabilitation, and rehabilitation of roadways, sidewalks, and intersections throughout Maryland. Primary Responsibilities:Develop design, and execution of highway and roadway projects from concept through construction.Prepare engineering plans, specifications, cost estimates, and technical reports.Ensure compliance with applicable design standards (e.g., AASHTO, FHWA, MDOT guidelines).Conduct site investigations and feasibility studies.Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including surveyors, environmental specialists, and construction personnel.Support permitting, bidding, and construction administration processes.Minimum Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering or related field.Professional Engineer (PE) license.Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in highway or transportation engineering.Proficiency in design software such as MicroStation, Inroads, OpenRoads (ORD), AutoCAD Civil 3D, and roadway modeling tools.Strong knowledge of transportation engineering principles and practices.Why PRIME AE?We dont just offer jobswe build careers.
