Semiconductor Design Engineer
Location : Folsom, CA
Duration: 1+ year with possible extensions
Pay Rate: $100-$110/HR

Position Overview
Performs semiconductor design engineering assignments including engineering and designing chip layout circuits, circuit checking, documenting specifications, modifying and evaluating semiconductor devices and components. Reviews product requirements and logic diagrams for device definition. Typically responsible for projects, or portions of projects, to design, fabricate, modify, and evaluate semiconductor devices and components. 10+ years of experience

IO-Arch:
Strong background in IO definition, clocking, voltage domain crossing
Understand and drive Floor-planning, implication to IO design and Physical/Electrical requirements
Drive & Influence Signaling, Power rail/bump-pattern, ESD definition, Pkg design, board design
Strong background in Custom data-path definitions and power efficient designs
IO architecture: clocking, voltage domain crossing
Floor-planning and physical packaging
Power rail/bump patterning, ESD, board/package design
DDR/HPM experience
Platform architecture exposure
Exporting and clocking expertise
Cadence tools (e.g., Virtuoso), Allegro, MOM files
Working on pioneer circuits and schematic definitions for floor plans.
Weekly check-ins to prioritize workindicates a dynamic and evolving project.
Collaboration with assembly and packaging connectivity teams.
8+ years, ideally someone who can understand system-level implications.
Cross-functional mindset: Able to work across architecture, packaging, and board teams.
