Need 2 Senior Electrical Project Managers
- 1 would be on based in Pitt with travel to Caribbean
- 1 would be on island full time

Will pay for relocation and/or travel to St Thomas/St. Kitts which is where both active job sites are now. There is no office on either island, it is more jobsite offices. We would explain all this during interview processes. Will assist with housing - have a couple of house rented which might be options.

PROPOSE CANDIDATES TO EITHER SITUATION (OR BOTH)

Summary:
Provide overall management direction for existing projects and develop new business opportunities relative to a particular client, group of clients, geographical area or type of project.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize and staff key field positions, working with senior company management.
• Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy.
• Initiate and maintain liaison with client and A/E contacts to facilitate construction activities.
• Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site superintendent to ensure project is built according to contract terms, code requirements, and other quality standards.
• Managing and leading the project team(s), along with superintendent(s) to ensure that all work is performed according to company and jurisdictional safety requirements; and ensure that work is completed on schedule and within budget; investigate potentially serious situations and implement corrective measures.
• Represent company in project meetings, assist in labor negotiations/strategy meetings, etc.
• Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect companys interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with client.
• Supervise and provide leadership regarding the work of project engineer(s), when assigned.
• Develop cost reports, RFPs, purchase orders and sub-agreements for major orders.
• Negotiate contract scope and terms and conditions.
• Assume additional responsibilities as directed by corporate executives.
• Other duties as assigned in support of the organization

Education and/or Experience:

• 4 year engineering degree or equivalent, plus extensive (ten or more years) experience/knowledge of construction, design, finance and management required
• At least five years of management experience in electrical self-performance required
• Experience working in the Caribbean market would be beneficial

Specialized Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance.
• Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, standards, etc. and their impact on project activities vital; superior communication and interpersonal (tact, diplomacy, influence, etc.) skills essential.
