Metal Fabricator – Commercial Glass Technician
Pay Rate: $18/hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Commercial Glass Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience installing and repairing commercial glass products, including glass doors, windows, curtain walls, and storefront systems. You will work at various commercial job sites, ensuring each project meets our high standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, repair, and replace commercial glass products, including doors, windows, and storefront systems
- Measure, cut, and prepare glass to exact specifications
- Install showers and glass
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work orders
- Operate glass-handling tools and equipment safely and effectively
- Seal and secure glass using proper materials and techniques
- Maintain a clean and organized work area on job sites
- Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, and team members
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of commercial glass installation or repair experience preferred
- Proficiency with glass-cutting, fitting, and installation tools
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship
- Physical ability to lift and move glass panels and work at various heights
- Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
