As a Production Control Supervisor, you will be playing a critical role in the success of production. You will work primarily in the warehouse and will be asked to work cross-functionally, interfacing with engineering, planning, and production to ensure production goals are being met. We are seeking candidates for both day andnight timeshifts followingA,B,C,Dschedules. As we continue to increase our production volume there will be a need todemonstrateflexibility and work different schedules inorderto reach quarterly and annual production goals.
Supervise daily activities related to receiving, stocking, and shipping of inventory and parts
Ensure accurate transactions for all inbound and outbound items to maintain inventory integrity
Collaborate closely with parts & service buyers, logistics, and quality teams to streamline processes
Work with internal and external customers globally to meet operational needs and resolve issues
Maintain organization and efficiency in inventory storage to support production control objectives
Report directly to the Manager, Production Control, providing updates on operations and challenges
Bachelor's degree preferred, or equivalent experience
Minimum of 3 years of supervisory experience in a fast-paced warehouse or distribution center environment
Flexibility to adapt to changing work shifts as production needs at Gigafactory Texas evolve
Strong experience in developing metrics for performance management
Ability to work independently on multiple tasks and projects, collaborating with teams such as Service and Supply Chain
Must have command of the English language, both written and verbal
Essential Physical Demands:
Ability to perform physically demanding work for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day.
Frequently and repetitively lift, push, and carry up to 35 lbs.
Ability to carry 20 lbs. up and down stairs
Frequently and repetitively bend, lift, and reach to install vehicle parts of varying size and weight overhead, accurately and within allotted timeframes
Ability to stand and walk for up to 12 hours per day, including over varied and uneven terrain
Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods, up to 12 hours per day
Climb and maintain balance on ladders, scaffolding, or other high structures
Ability to identify issues in a work process and receive safety signals using sight, touch, and hearing
Demonstrated ability to handle and manipulate tooling and mechanically fasten bolts within required cycle times, quickly and accurately during new hire training, and maintain this ability throughout employment
Exposure to hazardous materials used in the painting process and ability to follow waste handling/disposal procedures
Willingness to wear personal protective equipment, including but not limited to safety glasses, safety shoes, bump caps, hearing protection, full-face respirators, and gloves, while adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines
