- Lead all phases of project management: planning, execution, monitoring, and closeout.
- Coordinate internal and external resources to ensure project execution.
- Track and manage project budgets, schedules, and risks.
- Act as the primary point of contact for clients and project stakeholders.
- Prepare status reports, forecasts, and presentations for clients and leadership.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, safety protocols, and industry standards.
- Mentor and support project team members including coordinators and field staff.
- Monitor projects from conception to completion, ensuring all steps are completed in a timely manner.
- Work with area LVD Planning Engineering Managers, LVD designers, Real Estate Project Managers, Program Resource Planners to balance workload.
- Manage project scheduling within allocated hours to ensure successful completion of Low Voltage Distribution (LVD) jobs.
- Coordinate with Joint use companies for underground projects.
- Initiate operating reviews and project walkdowns with key stakeholders as needed.
- Assist with balancing the statewide workplan with budget and resource availability.
- Collaborate with Program Cost Engineers on project actuals vs. planned costs to ensure timely updates and forecasts.
- Participate in problem-solving and lean management efforts to improve processes and gain efficiencies.
- Bachelors degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of project management and utility experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Excel, Power BI, and SharePoint.
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- PMP certification or equivalent preferred.
- Experience related to utility work, including LVD, Substation, Transmission, and Underground utility.
This is a Contract to Direct hire position based out of the norther territory of Michigan (West Branch, Traverse City just to name a few cities)
