Engineering Technician

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Engineering Technician based in Houston, Texas. This role requires a strong understanding of Oil/Gas, Power Distribution, or Substation experience. The successful candidate will collaborate closely with designers, reading CAD drawings and collecting data for various projects.

Responsibilities

  • Read and interpret CAD drawings.
  • Collect and analyze data for project development.
  • Collaborate with designers to support project planning and execution.
  • Apply technical expertise in Oil/Gas, Power Distribution, or Substations to enhance project outcomes.
Essential Skills
  • 3+ years of experience as an engineering technician or similar role supporting Power Distribution or Substation projects.
  • 1+ year of experience in AutoCAD or reading CAD drawings.
  • 1+ year of hands-on experience in electrician/electrical work or similar fields.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Proficiency in Substation, Power Distribution, Oil, Gas, and Power systems.
  • Strong skills in AutoCAD.
  • Experience in data collection.
Work Environment

The role is primarily based in an office environment with occasional travel to project sites as required. The team is part of a new and rapidly growing group within a large EPC. The company offers holiday and PTO benefits.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
