POSITION: Plumber/General Maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS:

A. High school diploma or equivalent

B. Ability to communicate, read, write, and follow directions

C. Good health with average agility and dexterity

D. Possess physical strength to perform jobs that require prolonged standing, bending, stooping, and/or working in cramped quarters

E. Ability to climb/work at high altitudes on ladders, scaffolds, and/or roofs as the job requires

F. Knowledge of trade and tools

G. Valid West Virginia driver's license

H. Minimum skills to assist in the application of the principles and practices of the trade

REPORTS TO: Supervisor of Maintenance

SUPERVISORY

RESPONSIBILITIES: none

JOB

RESPONSIBILITIES:

A. Maintenance of positive work habits

B. Perform duties effectively and productively

C. Maintain and upgrade skills

D. Perform necessary repairs and replacements as assigned and in emergencies as needed

E. To assist in maintaining a safe condition with pipes, heating systems, drains, and plumbing fixtures in the facilities owned or operated by the County

F. To assist in the installation of plumbing fixtures, heating systems, drains, and equipment

G. Assist in interpreting blueprints, specifications, instructions issued by utility companies

H. Load, haul, and unload materials

I. Assist in maintaining accurate records, posting of time, supplies, equipment, and purchasing in accordance with Board of Education policies

CONTRACT OF 261 Days

HOURS: 7:30 am-3:30 pm
