Project Architect
Job Description

We are seeking a Project Architect with over 7 years of experience to lead consultants and technical teams, ensuring effective design execution and implementation document delivery for healthcare projects. This role involves collaboration with project managers to manage production schedules and ensure deadlines are met. You will also be responsible for preparing and reviewing implementation documents, managing technical resolutions, and conducting code analysis to ensure compliance with zoning requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Lead consultants and technical teams in project design execution.
  • Collaborate with project managers to manage production schedules and meet deadlines.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate implementation documents conforming to QA/QC standards.
  • Manage technical resolution and coordination for specific project segments.
  • Conduct code analysis to confirm compliance with code and zoning requirements.
  • Coordinate design group interactions internally and externally.
  • Lead consultant team work sessions and maintain open communication with clients.
  • Coordinate with project managers, clients, public agencies, consultants, and contractors.
  • Prepare client presentations and present design concepts and drawings.
  • Exercise persuasion and negotiation skills on critical issues.
  • Perform product research and assist project designers with materials and systems evaluation.
  • Oversee application of products and materials, ensuring risk management awareness.
  • Lead team meetings to discuss project issues and attend on-site visits and field reviews.
  • Prepare and review meeting minutes for consultant coordination meetings.
  • Resolve conflicts effectively and encourage a healthy team environment.
  • Provide direction and feedback to team members and collaborate with team leaders.
  • Travel as required.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in architecture and architectural design.
  • Experience with Revit and construction documentation.
  • Ability to produce construction document sets and manage construction administration.
  • Experience in healthcare, commercial construction, and design development.
  • Registered Architect with a BS in Architecture preferred.
  • Basic understanding of codes and ADA requirements.
  • Strong client interfacing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in base building and construction drawings.
  • US Citizenship required.
  • 7+ years of experience in the field.
Work Environment

The position offers a flexible schedule with a combination of in-office and remote work, typically requiring 3 days in the office. However, during the first 30 days, you will be expected to be in the office for 4+ days to acclimate to the firm and team. The work environment is highly collaborative, with interactions across offices in NYC, DC, and Richmond, VA. Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $40.86 - $45.67/hr.
