Sr. Business Development Manager - Enterprise Division / Car Rental Vertical - North America

We are seeking a Senior Business Development Manager to build and maintain strategic advertising partnerships, focusing on the Car Rental vertical across North America. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, building high-impact relationships, and delivering tailored advertising strategies that align with partner objectives and Expedia Groups commercial goals.

In This Role You Will:

Advertising Business Development

  • Develop and execute a consultative sales strategy to grow advertising revenue within the Car Rental vertical.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to partners, aligning their business goals with Expedia Groups advertising capabilities.
  • Implement scalable business strategies for key accounts, ensuring long-term value creation.
  • Manage day-to-day partner relationships, conduct regular commercial reviews, and ensure fulfillment of contractual obligations.
  • Identify marketing and promotional opportunities to maximize partner ROI.

Sales Negotiation & Deal Management

  • Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, needs analysis, strategic planning, negotiation, and closing.
  • Navigate complex enterprise organizations and influence senior decision-makers.
  • Manage a portfolio of domestic and international advertising platforms and products
  • Build and maintain robust pipeline of qualified sales opportunities
  • Conduct regular pipeline reviews to ensure alignment with revenue goals and Expedia Group Advertisings strategic priorities

Campaign Execution & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Oversee campaign launches and ongoing performance, ensuring seamless execution and issue resolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (supply, marketing, operations, billing, product, media planning) to deliver exceptional partner experiences.

Revenue Performance & Forecasting

  • Consistently meet or exceed quarterly revenue targets (typically exceeding $3,000,000 USD).
  • Conduct ROI analysis and performance reviews to drive continuous improvement and exceed partners KPI expectations.
  • Accurately forecast media revenue demand using market research, industry insights, and partner engagement.

Customer Focus & Market Insight

  • Deliver a consultative sales experience, including face to face & virtual partner meetings, that builds trust and long-term value.
  • Leverage Expedia Groups data and insights to inform partner strategies and decision-making.
  • Support Enterprise Sales team by managing reoccurring tasks, including projects that help drive sales and new business development processes.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • 5-7+ years of experience in media sales, business development, or a related field; experience in the travel or car rental industry is a strong plus.
  • Proven track record of exceeding revenue targets and driving strategic partnerships.
  • Deep understanding of digital media, programmatic advertising, and the travel ecosystem.
  • Strong executive presence with the ability to influence C-level stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated consultative selling skills and strategic thinking.
  • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with a growth mindset.
  • Willingness to travel; valid passport recommended.
The total cash range (inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target) for this position in Seattle is $137,000.00 to $191,500.00. Employees in this role have the potential to increase their pay up to $219,000.00, based on ongoing, demonstrated, and sustained performance in the role. Incentive plan performance above target will also earn more than the incentive target compensation amount.

Starting pay for this role will vary based on multiple factors, including location, available budget, and an individuals knowledge, skills, and experience. Pay ranges may be modified in the future.
