Carpenter/Furniture Builder

Bradshaw Design is a high-end custom furniture manufacturing business. We were established in 1976 and have been among the industry leaders ever since. You will have the responsibility to carry on the quality and character that was born many years ago. We work closely with interior designers and other design/builder-professionals, adding our products to their projects. This means we have deadlines and need to understand the client's preferences.

Our builders are expected to build from raw lumber all the way to a ready to finish piece of furniture. We offer in-house metal as well, so there will be times you will need to coordinate with one of our metal manufacturers on your project. On occasion, you will need to work with other builders on projects or rework on projects you have not built. We offer everything from modern to rustic pieces and all are customized so we will need someone capable of thinking outside of the box at times to troubleshoot unforeseen issues.

We require that you have experience with carpentry and are fluent with a tape measure and a scale ruler as you are expected to build based on plans we complete in house. We would like at least two years of experience in the field but understand that this is a form of art and some people are more capable than others. We need someone who is reliable with a good attitude and easy to communicate with.

As this is an art form we will need to see your work first hand and in house before we can negotiate your Hourly rate. We do offer occasional extras as a way to get more money and we will rarely if ever keep you from working as much as you would like. We offer 40 hours of paid vacation and 8 paid holidays a year. We do NOT offer health insurance or retirement savings accounts. This position has flexibility on when you can work once we are confident in your capabilities but do require 80 hours biweekly as a minimum without requesting time off. As this is a full-time position.
