Job Summary

A leading industrial facility in Mount Bethel, PA is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Manager to lead onsite construction activities for a large capital project. This role is responsible for driving project execution to meet safety, schedule, cost, and quality goals, and will lead coordination across multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and engineers.

Job Description

  • Lead and manage on-site construction teams, ensuring project execution aligns with design specifications and project objectives.
  • Monitor construction activities to ensure safety compliance, adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, and external contractors to resolve construction issues.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, CGA, NFPA, OSHA).
  • Coordinate construction planning efforts, including daily schedules, shift adjustments, and weekend work as needed.
  • Interpret engineering documents, such as equipment schematics, P&IDs, and construction drawings.
  • Maintain clear and effective communication across project stakeholders.
  • Primary shift is 3:00 PM 11:00 PM ET.
  • May occasionally require shift adjustments to day shift (6:00 AM 3:00 PM) or weekends, depending on project demands.

Skills Required

  • Strong understanding of OSHA safety regulations (OSHA 40-Hour Training preferred).
  • Proven ability to interpret P&IDs, schematics, and technical construction documentation.
  • Familiarity with high purity gas systems and installation practices is a strong plus.
  • Working knowledge of building codes, engineering standards, and industrial safety practices (OSHA 1926).
  • Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities and ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.

Education and Certifications

  • Bachelors degree in Engineering OR equivalent experience with relevant construction industry certifications.
  • 10+ years of construction management experience, preferably managing capital projects ($2M+) in the specialty chemical or similar industrial sector.
