Weld-On products are globally recognized as the premium products for joining plastic pipes and fittings and are used by professional installers around the world in a variety of applications such as, but not limited to, construction (residential & commercial), industrial (chemical process, water treatment, mining, etc.), irrigation (landscaping & agricultural) and others. About the Role: The operator will work on a variety of fast-paced semi-automated and automated machinery. Tends process, which fills, marks, labels, caps, and packs/wraps containers in preparation of product shipment either domestically or internationally. Reports to Production Supervisor and follows instruction from either the direct Supervisor, Production Lead, or appropriate leader. The work involves the execution of specific rules or procedures and typically comprises a complete segment of an assignment or project of a broader scope. The work product or service can have far-reaching effects in terms of overall accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of downstream processes or services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Set up, operate, and clean up manufacturing machines. Reports any malfunction to Supervisor, lead or appropriate leader immediately.
  • Communicates any important information such as issues with the equipment, missing raw materials, foreign objects in equipment, and quality problems to the Production Lead, Supervisor or appropriate leader immediately.
  • Reads and understands production schedule.
  • Accurately fills/packages finished goods following the required manufacturing and quality specifications.
  • Inspects filled containers to ensure finished goods are packaged to quality specifications.
  • Completes all daily assigned manufacturing and quality paperwork correctly.
  • Follows and performs all necessary quality inspections and processes on filled/packaged material.
  • Able to maintain complete focus during the manufacturing process. If adjustments are necessary, informs Production Lead, Supervisor or appropriate leader immediately.
  • Adjusts, repairs, or cleans manufacturing equipment to ensure a steady flow of finished goods.
  • Detects and reports unsafe conditions, equipment, or situations to supervisor, lead or appropriate leader immediately.
  • Reports unusual occurrences and incidents to the supervisor.
  • Complies with company safety policies and uses appropriate Personal Protective Equipment for work area (safety glasses, hearing protection, footwear).
  • Scans pallets of finished goods to complete manufacturing process when necessary.
  • Is consistently on time and ready to work once onsite and clocked in.
  • Always keeps work area clean and organized following 5S guidelines.
  • Experienced workers may be tasked training responsibilities with new employee(s).
  • Required to work overtime when requested to do so. Overtime may be required when needed to finish a production run, to cover for other employees absent from work, meet customer expectations, meet business demands, etc.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • Manufacturing or warehouse experience preferred.
Skills:
  • Good Verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently while staying process focused.
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow work instructions.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • Basic Math Skills.
  • English, Bilingual Spanish highly preferred.
  • Ability to hold good relationships with team members, co-workers and other departments.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to work on foot for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, stretch, reach, carry or lift up to 50 pounds unassisted to stack, and/or carry raw materials, filling containers, manufacturing components etc.
  • Fine motor skills (eye, hand, and finger coordination).
