Sevan Multi Site Solutions is a veteran owned business that provides construction program management real estate & site development and architecture & engineering services for restaurant grocery fuel and convenience store retail and government sectors nationwide We work with leading brands like McDonalds Starbucks Sprouts and BP to name a few At Sevan we provide the talent technology and trusted expertise needed to consistently deliver excellence in multi site construction Sevan is an INC 5000 Fastest Growing Company Great Places to Work 2024 2024 HIRE Vets Gold Medallion Award Best Places to work in Chicago 20 21 22 23 Best Places to Work in Construction 2023 Sevans Project Engineer Construction Services CS is part of our general contracting team and supports the Project Manager and field staff in planning coordinating and executing construction projects from pre construction through closeout This role is critical in ensuring the project is delivered on time within budget and in compliance with all safety and quality standards Essential Duties and Responsibilities Project Planning & Coordination Assist the Project Manager in developing and maintaining detailed project schedules using tools such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6Coordinate pre construction activities including permitting utility coordination and preliminary submittalsParticipate in project planning meetings with clients architects consultants and subcontractorsTrack project milestones and critical path items to ensure timely completion of all phasesDocument Control & Communication Maintain and manage project documentation including RFIs Requests for Information submittals transmittals meeting minutes drawing logs and specificationsDistribute and track construction drawings and revisions ensuring the field team has the latest documentsDraft issue and track RFIs to clarify design details and resolve conflictsLog review and follow up on submittals to ensure timely approval and material procurementSubcontractor & Vendor Coordination Assist in the solicitation evaluation and selection of subcontractors and suppliersCoordinate subcontractor schedules and activities to ensure alignment with project timelinesTrack delivery and installation of long lead items and specialty equipmentMonitor subcontractor compliance with contract scope safety procedures and quality standardsCost Management Support the preparation of budgets cost forecasts and change ordersTrack quantities labor materials and equipment costsAssist with change management including preparing pricing requests and negotiating with subcontractors and clientsHelp process and track subcontractor and supplier invoices and pay applicationsQuality Control & Safety Conduct site inspections to verify work is installed per plans specifications and code requirementsDocument and track deficiencies punch list items and corrective actionsSupport the implementation of the project specific Quality AssuranceQuality Control QAQC planEnsure safety policies are followed by maintaining up to date logs and coordinating with the safety teamClient & Stakeholder Relations Maintain professional relationships with clients architects consultants and inspectorsAttend ownerarchitectcontractor OAC meetings and contribute to project updatesCommunicate progress updates project risks and concerns effectively to project stakeholdersProject Closeout Assist in the preparation of final documentation including as builts warranties and operation & maintenance O&M manualsCoordinate final inspections punch list completion and project turnover activitiesEnsure all deliverables are submitted and accepted before project closeoutQualifications Bachelors degree in construction management construction science or related program2 years related experience andor training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceFamiliarity with construction documents processes and project lifecycleProficient in Microsoft Office Suite Outlook Excel and the technical proficiency to quickly pick up new softwares such as Smartsheet Procore Building Connected and other project management programsOSHA 30 or ability to acquire is requiredStrong analytical organizational and communication skillsAbility to work in a fast paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyWork Conditions & Travel This is a fully on site role at the project location or it is a hybrid in office remote role with travel 10 40 Sevan operates in a highly collaborative environment that flourishes when individual and team contributions combine to achieve target goals and objectives Individuals must be flexible adaptable and able to work with fluid schedules and working conditions Regularly required to sit;
