Regional Operations Manager - Dallas / Fort Worth, Tx
SAFEbuilt is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead the overall operational and financial performance of an assigned territory. This role will oversee daily operations, ensuring efficient delivery of services and alignment with company standards. The Operations Manager will make operational decisions consistent with the organization's strategic direction while maintaining close communication with the Vice President of Operations on broader strategic initiatives.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- The Operations Manager is responsible for managing all financial planning, customer service/satisfaction, employee training, internal and external growth, maximization of asset utilization, and achieving overall company goals in a given market of the region. Specific management duties include:
- Performs professional and administrative duties; plans, organizes and directs a professional, technical, skilled and semi-skilled staff in the implementation of projects and the administration of community development activities.
- Ensure that regionally assigned locations meets or exceeds its goals as it pertains to regulatory compliance, budget, account retention, safety and continuous improvement.
- Responsible for taking strategic goals and implementing them to measureable outcomes
- Develops regional work plans and executes/implements plans
- Development of operational metrics and communication for reporting against
- Works directly with HR to oversee the recruiting, hiring, and training needs
- Provides daily leadership to employees within the regional departments and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and resource/staffing allocation
- Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsible for planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving issues
- Travels to meet with prospective clients, customers, local service centers and attend company meetings, as required
- Ensures that SAFEbuilt is well promoted and properly represented through marketing and community relations within the region .
- Completes regional operations audits maintaining awareness of current state of affairs. Conducts regional operations needs assessments, appraises performance and discusses solutions with the Regional Manager. Designs and implements quality control systems to support the goals of the operation.
- Maintains professional and technical knowledge by tracking emerging trends in industry and operations management; attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices; participating in professional societies, etc.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:
- Ability to manage responsibilities and priorities in a fast paced, growth oriented and time-critical environment, across a given market
- Ability to respond, interact, and collaborate with all levels of the organization
- Excellent presentation, organizational, analytical, interpersonal and written/oral communication skills
- Proficiency in basic computer systems and applications required.
- Ability to demonstrate independent initiative, make sound decisions using effective problem-solving techniques.
- Effective ability to develop interpersonal relationships.
- Ability to develop and present comprehensive reports.
- Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) in a professional manner.
- Ability to travel
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's Degree preferred
- Six years progressive experience in management
- Background in Community Development or Building/Construction fields preferred
- ICC Certifications or PE designation preferred
- Valid driver's license
