CAD Designer

Job Description

Join a dynamic team focused on creating detailed module drawings of building area layouts, including material handling equipment and work areas for Rural Super Rural (RSR) Delivery Stations. This role involves designing rural sub-rural buildings, specifically warehouses in rural areas, and working closely with Design Engineers to meet layout requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Create detailed interior CAD drawings based on delivery station layout requirements.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers, CAD drafters, and various stakeholders to deliver completed and approved design sets.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders for permit sets, structural drawings, elevations, and floorplans.
  • Support the design quality control process through participation in peer reviews and adherence to design checklists.
  • Deliver new designs, post-permit updates, expansions, and retrofits to enhance safety, quality, productivity, and capacity.
  • Implement new template designs, process improvements, and safety processes into standard designs.
Essential Skills
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD with 3+ years of drafting experience, focusing on facility layout, manufacturing design, commercial, industrial, or structural projects.
  • Experience working with AutoCAD 2018 or later, preferably in architecture, design, civil, or construction.
  • Intermediate knowledge of MS Excel, MS Word, and Bluebeam.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and prioritize workloads.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for various audiences and stakeholders.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Understanding of architectural floor plans in large warehouse environments.
  • Ability to work across multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Associates Degree in a related field.
Work Environment

This position requires working onsite in Bellevue, WA, three days a week. The work involves collaborating with a team in a fast-paced environment, supporting grocery store delivery stations under a project management framework.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
