Apprentice Painter

Looking for an opportunity to learn and grow in a career trade. Apprentice painter for interior and exterior residential projects needed for growing company. Experience in residential interior staining, cut & roll and spray a plus but not necessary. Familiar with products including lacquer finishes. Works collaboratively with 4-5 man crews. Track record of completing projects to expectation.

• Must have paint pants and proper hands tools (caulk gun, patching knives, roller pole, razor knife, and caulking)
• Proper time management for schedule provided
• Prep surfaces including cleaning, masking, taping, sanding, patching, priming
• Paint surfaces including spraying, rolling, and brush work
• On-site clean up, including ladders, scaffolding, sprayers and pressure washers
• Project lead upon request
• Able to get to job site areas including Park City, Heber City and surrounding areas where projects are awarded. (Gas money is NOT provided to get to and from work site locations)
• Knowledge of materials and paint (Sherwin-Williams, Ben Moore paint lines)
• Able to complete a room from start to finish with materials laid out and in the time allotted on your own
• Adheres to health and safety precautions and conduct

• Product knowledge including lacquer finishes
• Expert knowledge in proper use of ladders, scaffolding, and sprayers is essential.
• Understanding of paint tools for consistent and expert execution, including airless spraying, rolling, and brush work
• Able and willing to complete work from heights - scaffolding and ladders
• Willingness to grow and learn, collaborates well with team members
• Helps to ensure coordination throughout every project
• Understanding of paint products
• Hard-working and reliable
• Follow directions and asks questions when in doubt
• Valid drivers license required
• Reliable transportation required
• OSHA Safety Certified preferred

• Working interview for five days paid at $21.00
• 90-day probationary period at $23/ hour, then increase based on performance and other specialties/qualifications
• Weekly compensation
