Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design mechanical components and assemblies using PTC Creo, including 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards.
  • Apply tolerance stack-up analysis to support design fit and manufacturability.
  • Contribute to FMEA activities to assess and manage design risks.
  • Design components using sheet metal and support DFM considerations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (manufacturing, quality, sourcing) throughout the product development cycle.
  • Manage design data and documentation using Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.
  • Support prototyping, testing, and validation activities.
  • Ensure compliance with internal design standards and industry best practices.

Desired Skills and Experience

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of relevant experience in mechanical design and development.
  • Hands-on experience with PTC Creo for part modelling and detailed drafting.
  • Working knowledge of ASME GD&T and tolerance analysis techniques.
  • Experience in sheet metal design and fabrication principles.
  • Familiarity with FEA tools such as ANSYS for basic mechanical validation.
  • Comfortable using Agile tools like Jira for task tracking and team collaboration.
  • Awareness of PLM systems for managing design data.
  • Effective communicator with a team-oriented mindset.
