Position: Electrical Maintenance Technician Specialist

Shift: Day Shift (8-hour shifts, Monday-Friday)

Compensation: Up to $32/ hour

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and dependable Electrical Maintenance Technician Specialist to support the operation, repair, and optimization of critical electrical systems within a fast-paced logistics facility. This advanced-level role is ideal for candidates with deep technical expertise in electrical maintenance-including power distribution, motor controls, PLCs, and automated systems-who are ready to lead complex maintenance initiatives and mentor junior team members.

The ideal candidate will possess advanced electrical troubleshooting skills, experience managing specialized electrical projects, and a solid understanding of compliance and safety standards in industrial environments. This role plays a key part in ensuring the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the facility's electrical infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform advanced electrical repairs, diagnostics, and installations on complex systems, including power distribution, motor control centers, PLCs, lighting, and conveyor systems

  • Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for all electrical systems within the facility, providing technical leadership and guidance to maintenance staff

  • Lead the troubleshooting and resolution of high-priority electrical issues and complex system failures

  • Develop and manage specialized preventive maintenance programs for electrical equipment to minimize unplanned downtime

  • Mentor and train junior technicians in electrical maintenance best practices; lead hands-on demonstrations and technical workshops

  • Collaborate with engineering, facility leadership, and external contractors during system upgrades, installations, and modifications

  • Monitor electrical system performance, identify inefficiencies, and recommend improvements or system upgrades

  • Maintain accurate documentation, including electrical schematics, maintenance records, work orders, and parts usage

  • Support the planning and execution of electrical maintenance projects from scope definition through completion

  • Ensure all electrical work complies with OSHA regulations, NFPA 70E standards, and internal safety policies

  • Respond promptly to emergency electrical issues to ensure minimal disruption to operations

  • Assist with procurement and inventory management of critical electrical components and materials

  • Continuously evaluate and recommend opportunities for process improvement and energy efficiency

Requirements

Required Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (associate's degree preferred)
  • 5+ years of experience in facilities or equipment maintenance
  • Strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, electrical, and automated systems
  • Knowledge of HVAC, BAS, and control systems
  • Proficient with tools, diagnostic equipment, and CMMS software
  • Familiar with OSHA safety standards and industrial maintenance practices
  • Excellent communication, organization, and multitasking skills

Desired Qualifications:

  • Certifications in HVAC, electrical, or mechanical systems
  • Experience with energy management or green building tech
  • Project leadership or mentoring experience
  • Knowledge of warehouse or logistics maintenance operations
  • Root cause analysis and problem-solving capabilities

Technology Requirements:

  • Experience using CMMS and BAS systems

  • Skilled with diagnostic tools and technical software

  • Other Requirements:
