Key Responsibilities:
Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, systems, and fixtures in buildings.
Read blueprints, technical diagrams, and schematics to ensure accurate installations.
Inspect electrical components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for repair.
Diagnose electrical problems using appropriate testing devices.
Ensure electrical systems comply with national and local electrical codes.
Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
Install and maintain electrical control systems, wiring, and lighting.
Provide preventive maintenance and upgrades to ensure systems remain functional and efficient.
Respond to emergency electrical calls in a timely manner.
Collaborate with contractors, engineers, and other professionals on projects.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training or apprenticeship preferred.
Valid electrician license (state-specific requirement).
Proven experience as an electrician (residential, commercial, or industrial).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, hand tools, and power tools.
Understanding of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines.
Ability to read technical documents and drawings.
Physical stamina and dexterity.
