- Lead and manage daily field operations on heavy civil construction projects.
- Supervise and schedule crews for grading, drainage, paving, milling, and utility installation.
- Coordinate with Project Managers to plan work activities, safety protocols, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Monitor project progress, budgets, and schedules; provide regular updates to stakeholders.
- Train and mentor Foremen, Equipment Operators, and Laborers.
- Assist with survey and field layout as needed.
- Maintain high standards of quality and productivity on-site.
- Communicate effectively with subcontractors, suppliers, and inspectors.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with at least 5 years in a superintendent role.
- Proven leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of civil construction methods and safety practices.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications.
- OSHA 10 and First Aid certification required.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends.
- Valid drivers license and reliable transportation.
- OSHA 30 certification preferred.
- Mission-critical infrastructure projects experience.
- Familiarity with Westchester County regulations and permitting processes.
- Experience with public works or municipal contracts.
This role involves working with a team of 60 people, including 12-15 individuals in the office. The company handles projects ranging from $50k to $52M annually, with a yearly budget of $25-$30M.
