Position Summary

The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing projects from initiation through completion for Southwest Line and Cable Co. LLC. This role ensures projects are delivered safely, on time, within scope, and on budget while maintaining strong client relationships and supporting field crews.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of line, cable, and electrical utility projects.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare project bids, budgets, and cost estimates; track financial performance and profitability.
  • Develop project schedules, assign resources, and monitor progress to meet deadlines.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and industry standards.
  • Coordinate with field supervisors and crews to resolve issues and maintain quality control.
  • Manage procurement of materials, equipment, and subcontractor services.
  • Track project documentation, including contracts, change orders, permits, and close-out packages.
  • Provide regular progress reports to management and clients.
  • Foster a culture of teamwork, safety, and accountability.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field (preferred).
  • 3–5 years of project management experience in construction, utilities, electrical, or cable installation.
  • Strong knowledge of construction practices, utility line work, and electrical/cable systems.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, schedules, and contracts.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software, MS Office, and scheduling tools.
  • OSHA 30 certification or willingness to obtain (preferred).
  • Valid driver’s license; ability to travel to project sites.
  • Experience with High, Medium, and Low Voltage, to include sub stations, switch gears, breakers, and general power distribution
  • Working Conditions

    • Office and field-based environment; regular site visits required.
    • Must be able to work in varying weather conditions and terrains.
    • Some overtime and travel may be required depending on project demands.
