Job Description:

  • We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee on-site construction and engineering project installations at multiple industrial sites.

  • Monitor and manage day-to-day construction activity, ensuring quality, safety, schedule adherence, and compliance with project specifications.

  • Serve as on-site Construction Project Manager across multiple industrial sites, focusing on oversight rather than engineering tasks.

  • Perform Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) oversight, including inspections and documentation reviews.

  • Conduct regular site walkthroughs, monitor work progress, verify installation standards, and confirm compliance with project documentation.

  • Maintain and manage quality documentation including submittal logs, inspection reports, "as-built" notes, and close-out packages.

  • Interface with construction teams, subcontractor superintendents, and project stakeholders to resolve quality and schedule issues promptly.

  • Ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and contractual requirements throughout installation phases.

  • Provide daily and weekly project status updates-including quality, schedule, and risk insights-to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or equivalent experience in construction oversight.

  • Experience: 5+ years of on-site construction project management or QA/QC oversight in heavy industrial or power plant environments. Ideally with industrial installation exposure.

  • Strong understanding of construction quality control standards, submittals, documentation, and corrective action processes.

  • Excellent site inspection and observational capabilities.

  • Proficiency with QA/QC documentation, inspection logs, and corrective reporting.

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

  • Detail-oriented, proactive, and capable of independent decision-making.

  • Certifications Preferred: QA/QC, USACE Construction Quality Management for Contractors, CCM, PMP, OSHA training, or equivalent.

Technical Certification Bonus: Synectics is pleased to award its employees a bonus of up to $500 for an approved professional certification. In determining the bonus amount, Synectics will consider the cost of the test(s) for any certification relating to your current position, achieved during your employment with us. Only one Certification Bonus per calendar year may be awarded per employee. Only current, active employees will be eligible to receive this bonus. It will be awarded 90 days after the Synectics office has received documentation confirming the successful completion of the certification.
