Hours: 45+ hours per week, MondayFriday, 6AM4PM
Overview:
Superior Skilled Trades is seeking experienced Construction Foremen to lead crews of 410 workers on commercial construction projects.
We are seeking a Concrete Foreman, and a Carpentry Foreman. The Foreman will be responsible for overseeing daily operations, ensuring quality workmanship, maintaining safety standards, and keeping projects on schedule and within budget. This role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge of concrete practices, and the ability to coordinate effectively with other trades.
Responsibilities of Concrete Foreman:
Supervise crews performing pouring, finishing, forming, and curing of concrete.
Train, guide, and mentor crew members to maintain high performance.
Coordinate with superintendents, project managers, and other trade partners to ensure seamless project flow.
Read and interpret blueprints and job specifications to plan and execute concrete work.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are available and maintained.
Inspect work to ensure compliance with quality standards and building codes.
Lead daily safety meetings and conduct site safety inspections.
Prepare and submit reports, including timesheets and daily logs.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support successful project completion.
Responsibilities of Carpentry Foreman:
Supervise and direct crews in carpentry tasks, including framing, windows, doors, flooring, trim, and hardware installation.
Operate site equipment (forklifts, man lifts, etc.) with proper certification.
Train, mentor, and guide team members.
Coordinate with superintendents, operations leadership, and other trades to maintain workflow.
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and job specifications.
Ensure all tools, equipment, and materials are prepared and available.
Inspect completed work to verify quality and compliance with building codes.
Conduct daily safety meetings and site inspections.
Maintain reports, including timesheets and daily logs.
Take on additional responsibilities as needed to support project success.
Qualifications
57 years of experience in related work, with 23 years in a supervisory role.
Strong knowledge of concrete construction methods, materials, and best practices.
Valid drivers license required.
OSHA 30, ACI, and First Aid/CPR certifications preferred but not required.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
Knowledge of safety standards and regulations.
Strong communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage time, solve problems, and work under pressure.
Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and accuracy.
Committed to professional growth and continuous learning.
Requirements
Must provide basic PPE( Hard Hat, Safety Gloves, Work Boots, High-Vis Vest) and basic hand tools.
Must be willing to work 45+ hours weekly.
