Job DetailsJob Location: Maryland Office - Hunt Valley, MD 21030Salary Range: $85,000.00 - $105,000.00 SalaryWallace Montgomery is searching for a Survey Technician to join our Surveys and Mapping department in our Hunt Valley, MD office. Survey technicians must have a solid understanding of the fundamentals of land surveying and land surveying technology. Surveying technicians must be detail oriented and able to complete tasks accurately and precisely. Survey Technicians work will include data collection processing, land record research and mosaic preparation, plat drafting, LiDAR registration and extractions, boundary analysis along with other surveying aspects.

Primary Functions:
Evaluating Information to Determine Compliance with Standards — Using relevant information and individual judgment to determine whether events or processes comply with laws, regulations, or standards.
Processing data collection from multiple sources into a finished product.
Familiarity with GNSS applications and processing.
Process horizontal and vertical survey control.
Preparation of ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, Acquisition plats, subdivision plats, legal descriptions, and exhibit plats.
Performing day-to-day administrative tasks such as maintaining information files and processing paperwork. Maintain records, reports, and files.
Coordinate with field crews and other office staff on routine basis.

QualificationsQualifications:
4 to 10 years’ office experience in the Land Surveying industry.
High school diploma or GED required.
Experience with SHA and public sectors is preferred.
Experience processing reality capture data is a plus.
Experience using MicroStation, V8i SS10 and/or Open Roads Designer.
