Land Surveyor As a Land Surveyor, you will be responsible for measuring and mapping land areas, working on various construction projects. You will use specialized tools and equipment to precisely determine boundaries and elevations of land, ensuring accurate placement of structures and infrastructure. Your work will play a vital role in the development of new communities, roads, and buildings. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct land surveys using specialized equipment such as total stations, GPS receivers, and laser scanners - Analyze survey data to create accurate maps, drawings, and reports - Work closely with architects, engineers, and developers to determine land boundaries and project requirements - Prepare legal documents such as property descriptions and subdivision plats - Monitor construction progress to ensure adherence to survey plans - Conduct research on property records and historical data to accurately identify land boundaries - Perform quality control checks on survey data to ensure accuracy Requirements: - Bachelor's degree in Surveying or related field - Minimum of 2 years experience as a Land Surveyor - Strong knowledge of surveying principles and techniques - Proficiency with surveying software such as AutoCAD or Trimble Business Center - Excellent mathematical skills for precise measurement calculations - Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions for extended periods of time - Attention to detail with strong organizational skills Salary: $1400 per month (negotiable based on experience) Location: Washington D.C., USA *This job is suitable for both men and women.
