Construction Administrator
St. Paul, MN or Madison, WI | Direct Hire | $90k - $105k| Hybrid
Konik is partnering with a well-respected, design-focused architecture firm to add a Construction Administrator to their team. This role supports large, complex projects across commercial, healthcare, and institutional markets, working closely with design teams, contractors, and ownership groups to ensure successful execution through the construction phase.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys being in the field, solving problems in real time, and acting as the bridge between design intent and construction reality.
Responsibilities
Participate in project handoff from the design team following completion of construction documents
Represent the design team and owner during construction to ensure alignment with project intent
Attend Owner, Architect, and Contractor meetings and provide project updates
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, quality, and compliance
Review and respond to RFIs, submittals, and field issues
Coordinate with architects, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve challenges
Support project delivery by helping maintain schedule, budget, and quality expectations
Manage multiple active projects simultaneously across varying stages of construction
Qualifications
8+ years of experience in construction administration, architecture, or related field
Experience working on complex commercial or institutional projects
Background in an architectural or consulting environment strongly preferred
Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and field coordination
Proficiency with Bluebeam, Revit is a bonus
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Willingness to travel within the Midwest; mostly day travel with occasional overnight trips
