Job Summary

Loenbro is looking for Journeyman Electricians in the Cheyenne, WY area. This is a project position for candidates who have a passion for safety, an initiative-taker, and who have experience in a heavy commercial and industrial environment. The Journeyman Electrician will work independently or as part of a team which will be responsible for the installation, start-up, troubleshooting, commissioning, and servicing of industrial equipment and systems.

Essential Job Responsibilities

Serve existing accounts by analyzing work orders; planning daily travel schedule; investigating complaints; conducting tests; resolving problems.
Establishes service by studying system requirements; ordering and gathering components and parts; completing installation; performing acceptance tests.
Maintains rapport with customers by examining complaints; identifying solutions; suggesting improved methods and techniques; recommending system improvements.
Keeps personal equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Documents service and installation actions by completing forms, reports, logs, and records.
Maintains customer confidence by keeping service information confidential.
Up-dates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
Accomplishes operations and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
The Electrician will follow and perform other instructions and other related duties as set forth by management.
Capable of reading and understanding overview drawings, one-line drawings, and electrical schematics.
Ability to layout conduit, cable tray, and overall jobsite installations.
Work with and train apprentices on the job.

Minimum Qualifications

Required:

Minimum Journeyman Skill level experience in commercial or industrial electrical system
Experience in electrical and pneumatic process controls
Must be dependable, work hard and willing to put in the hours needed.
Have excellent communication skills, both oral and written.
Must be willing to submit to pre-employment screening, including criminal background check and drug screen.
Basic computer knowledge required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.

Maintaining body equilibrium to prevent falling when walking, standing, crouching or running on narrow, slippery, or erratically moving surfaces.
Bending body downward and forward by bending spine at the waist. This factor is important if it occurs to a considerable degree and requires full use of the lower extremities and back muscles.
Bending legs at knees to come to rest on knee or knees.
Bending body downward and forward by bending legs and spine.
Crawl over, under and into equipment as necessary to perform job duties. Moving about on hands and knees or hands and feet.
Extending hand(s) and arm(s) in any direction.

Work environments may be noisy, congested, and/or in confined spaces.
Must be able to read and understand technical documents, blueprints, and work orders.

Work Environment:

Varying temperatures, e.g., exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy conditions, on your feet, 8 to 10 hours daily up to 6 days a week.
Job requires employees to wear always required personal tools and belt with them.
Work from all types of ladders, stepladders up to 14', "A" frame ladders and all size extension ladders.
Carry and relocate extension ladders up to 20' stepladders up to 12' by yourself.
Employee's personal weight with personal tools cannot exceed weight limit of ladder (Class 1 - 250 lbs. Class 1A - 300 lbs.)
Perform work at various heights, up to 50' from ladders, scaffolds, aerial lifts, catwalks or other safe work areas.
Work in restricted areas, switchgear room, manholes, utility tunnels, crawl spaces, attics and vaults, following proper procedures.
Wear personal protective equipment, e.g., hard hats, safety shoes, safety glasses, gloves, masks, and earplugs always, and when applicable, respirator.
Follow special procedures including contamination control, noise control, vibration, building systems awareness and procedures.

This role requires compliance with all applicable safety regulations, personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements, and Loenbro's Environmental Health and Safety (EH&S) policies.
