MIG Welder

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization in Brooklyn Park, MN, is seeking skilled MIG Welders to join their high-performing team. Job Title: MIG Welder

Location: Brooklyn Park, MN

Pay Range: $35.00 $38.00/hour (based on experience)

Shift:

• First shift (6:00am - 2:00pm)
• Second shift (2:00pm - 10:00pm)

Whats the Job?

• Perform 100% MIG welding on structural components with a focus on quality and precision
• Safely layout, fit-up, and weld products according to company standards and procedures
• Interpret fabrication blueprints and engineering drawings accurately
• Utilize cutting torches and carbon arc (gouging) as needed
• Operate overhead cranes, jib cranes, and hoists to move materials
• Use fabrication tools including grinders, chisels, and tip cleaners
• Complete welds that meet AWS certification standards (visual + X-ray tested)
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment

Whats Needed?

• Proven MIG welding experience (or completion of a certified welding program)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to pass COPA assessment (required prior to weld test)
• Ability to pass AWS weld test (Fillet & V-Groove; 24 hours, includes X-ray evaluation)
• Comfort working in a production environment with physical demands (standing, lifting, climbing, and positioning)
• Ability to work in varying temperatures, noise levels, and enclosed or elevated spaces
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality welds
