Come join our Excavation Team. We are looking for an excavation laborer to work alongside our team to help with excavation and site preparation work. We work mainly in Salt Lake County and Utah County. The schedule for this position is typically Monday to Friday 7am-5pm.
As an excavation laborer, you will perform general labor duties under the direction of the Foreman or Supervisor. Your responsibilities will include various phases of excavation work, such as loading materials, digging, removal, and placement of excavation materials and equipment. Here are the key duties:
ResponsibilitiesLoading and Digging:
- Load and unload materials.
- Hand dig using shovels and mechanical tools.
Equipment Operation:
- Climb into and out of equipment (trucks, cars, backhoes, skid steers, etc.).
- Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery.
- Grease and maintain equipment as directed.
Safety and Coordination:
- Work in congested or remote areas.
- Maintain visual and audible contact with crew members and other personnel to ensure safe coordination.
- Follow safety regulations, procedures, and policies.
- Physical Requirements:
- Stand, crouch, sit, bend, and use hands and fingers.
- Reach with hands and arms to spaces both high and low.
- Perform tasks while standing, walking, climbing, balancing, crawling, crouching, lifting, holding, or stooping.
- Wear safety boots.
- Work in adverse weather conditions (extreme heat, cold, wind, rain, snow, sleet, fog).
- May be exposed to dust, fumes.
- Lift/carry up to 50 lbs regularly.
- 1+ years of experience working as a laborer on construction worksite preferred.
- You must be reliable, responsible and prioritize safety above all things.
- Must have a valid US drivers license and reliable form of transportation.

- You must be able to pass a drug screening.
- Effective communication skills. (English Speaking Required)
- Regular and timely attendance is essential.
- Overtime sometimes available.
- Pay will be based on experience.
