Job Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including industrial equipment and construction vehicles. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with diesel engines, automotive diagnostics, and heavy equipment operation. This role offers an opportunity to work with diverse equipment and utilize your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills to keep operations running smoothly.

Duties/Responsibilities:
Diagnose and repair diesel engines and related systems such as transmissions, hydraulics, suspension, and air brakes
Perform routine inspections and maintenance on various heavy equipment and vehicles
Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues
Repair and maintain various equipment such as excavators, forklifts, skid steers, and other industrial equipment
Perform electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical repairs, as well as preventative maintenance, on construction equipment and vehicles
Assist with assembly and disassembly of mechanical components during repairs or upgrades
Maintain detailed service records and ensure compliance with safety standards
Drive to jobsites to fuel/grease/inspect equipment and trucks, as needed
Operate forklift to load and unload trucks and trailers
Maintain a clean, organized and safe work environment
Support coworkers and be a good team player

Skills:
Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engines and heavy equipment repair
Knowledge of automotive diagnostics tools and electrical systems
Familiarity with schematics for troubleshooting complex machinery
Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, skid steers, and other industrial equipment
Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, HVAC systems, and vehicle maintenance
Observe all safety precautions for protections against accidents, dangerous fluids, chemicals, etc.
Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Ability to lift heavy objects safely and perform physically demanding tasks
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dusty, greasy environment with moderate to high noise volume
Capable to work and communicate effectively in a team environment

Qualifications:
Valid Drivers License with clean record. Commercial license a plus.
Must be able to pass all pre-employment screens (including drug, background and criminal checks).

Education:
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Associate's degree or vocational/trade school certification preferred
ASE certification highly desired

Experience:
Welding experience
Diesel engine repair: 3 years (Preferred)
Mechanical knowledge: 3 years (Preferred)
