General Mechanic/Maintenance

Island Recycling, a well established company for over 40 years is in search of the RIGHT, BRIGHT mechanic for our busy Campbell location. We offer competitive pay, paid vacation and health benefits.

Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot, repair and maintain various equipment and machinery (ie. balers, excavators, skid steers, forklifts, loaders etc.) as well as commercial diesel trucks.
Process reports per DOT regulations
Maintain necessary parts inventory system and mechanic shop

Requirements:
ASE Certified preferred
Be able to speak, read and write in English
Have a positive attitude
Minimum 2 years experience with hydraulic equipment repair preferred
Be conscientious, reliable and a problem solver
Valid driver's license and clean record
Be able to lift up to 50lbs
Welding and torching skills. Welding certificate a plus
Able to twist upper body, bend at waist, kneel, crouch and negotiate uneven surfaces
Ability to work in a fast paced environment
Work well under pressure as well as adapt to disturbances in work flow
Must pass pre-employment drug test
