Structural Welder Bethlehem, PA We are looking for a skilled Structural Steel Welder with at least 5 years of experience to join our team. Key Responsibilities for a Welder Welding & Fabrication: Perform high-quality Arc (SMAW) and potentially Flux-Cored (FCAW) welding on structural steel components (beams, columns, trusses). Blueprint Reading: Interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, and blueprints to plan layouts and assembly sequences. Fitting & Assembly: Align, square, and tack-weld parts together according to specifications. Quality Control: Inspect completed welds for cracks, slag, or irregularities; ensure all work meets industry standards (e.g., AWS D1.1). Equipment Maintenance: Maintain welding machines, torches, and tools in good working order. Skills & Requirements for a Structural Steel Welder Experience: Minimum 5 years of professional experience specifically in structural steel . Technical Proficiency: Expert-level proficiency in Arc Welding (Stick) in multiple positions (flat, horizontal, vertical, overhead). Safety Mindset: Strict adherence to PPE requirements and OSHA safety protocols. Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy materials, work in various weather conditions, and maintain focus during repetitive tasks.
