We are hiring an experienced Prep Painter, Painter, and Lead Painter to join our growing team for projects throughout San Diego County. The right candidate takes pride in craftsmanship and is dependable, punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team producing high-quality work.
Current Project in Rancho Bernardo (92128)
Schedule MonFri 8:00am-4:30pm
Prep $24$27 / Painter $27-30 / Lead Painter $35-$38 (DOE)
Duties
Prepare interior and exterior surfaces: scraping, sanding, patching, caulking, masking, priming, and minor wood repair as needed.
Apply paints, stains, and coatings using brush, roller, and airless sprayer on interior or exterior surfaces and match finishes.
Protect surrounding surfaces and areas, and maintain a clean, organized jobsite
Communicate professionally with clients, team members, and supervisors
Work on ladders, scaffolding, and walk on roof tiles when necessary to access work areas
Work at interior/exterior 2-story heights and confined spaces
Load/unload materials
*Additional duties related to the trade may be assigned as necessary.
Requirements
Prep applicants must have 2+ years of verifiable work experience
Painter applicants must have 3+ years of verifiable work experience
Have your own tools and equipment required for the trade
Follow safety procedures and wear PPE as required
Lift 60+ lbs. to load/unload materials
Frequently sit, bend, kneel, climb, stoop, balance, push, pull, walk, stand and reach
Perform frequent manual finger dexterity tasks
Work outdoors in sun and heat
Reliable transportation to/from job sites
Communicate in English and comprehend written or verbal instructions
Submit proof of valid CA drivers license and auto insurance upon hire.
Participate in and pass background screening and employment verification, including eligibility to work in the U.S.
Lead Painter Additional Duties and Requirements
Lead Painter applicants must have 5+ years verifiable work experience
Lead and coordinate a small crew
Train prep workers and painters on proper techniques
Assign daily work and maintain productivity
Inspect, prep, and finish quality projects
May conduct walk-thru with client and/or project manager
Communicate project progress and material needs with project manager
Identify potential issues before they become callbacks
English/Spanish bi-lingual preferred
